Roller Shutter Graphics for Shops, Industrial Doors and Security Shutters

Solid single-skin and insulated lath curtains are the easiest and give the best image quality — the face is near-continuous, so photographic artwork reproduces cleanly.

Perforated and punched curtains carry graphics well if the design is bold; roughly a third of the face is open, so fine text and small logos get lost. Lath-and-link grilles are better suited to simple colour blocks, lettering or a respray.

The curtain is closed and cleaned down, and the artwork is applied in vertical panels aligned to the slat profile. Each panel is squeegeed into the corrugation of the slat rather than bridged across it, so the print does not tear or lift when the shutter rolls.

Edges are trimmed back from the guide rails and the bottom lath, keeping the moving parts clear. On a standard shopfront a fitting takes a few hours, usually before opening or after closing.

Printed shutters wash with soapy water; the anti-graffiti laminate lets most spray paint come off with a solvent wipe rather than soaking into the print.

If a section is physically damaged, individual panels can be lifted and reprinted without redoing the whole curtain — one of the practical reasons we panel rather than wrap the face in a single sheet.
